I want to see into the heart of everything. I am an in-depth investigator and also a dilettante. One of my superpowers is that I can have a fascinating conversation with just about anybody. I've been accused of being pedantic but really I just want to get things right. I'm curious about every single thing, because every single thing I've looked at so far rewards detailed examination and contains pleasing surprises.

One of my favorite things to do is to throw myself into something completely new and study/do it intensely for a while. At some point I'll either have done enough of it and stop, or incorporate it into my life in some enduring way. Some of the keepers include aikido, yoga, shakuhachi, guitar, making music, making software, and making food. I'm currently rock climbing a few times a week (at a gym) and considering a foray into salsa dancing.

I love meeting new people. I would especially love to meet folks who could teach me something compelling.
